Dr. J Alex Coulson obtained a Bachelor of Science with specialization in Human Kinetics from the
University of Ottawa in 2015. He then continued his education obtaining a Doctorate of Chiropractic from the New York Chiropractic College which included 2 demanding years of classwork and 1 year of clinical rotations. Dr. Alex saw a wide range of patients during his clinical rotation in the Depew Health Center, University of Buffalo and Buffalo Veterans Affairs Hospital. During his time at the New York Chiropractic College, he obtained a Masters of Science in Human Anatomy and Physiology Instruction. While completing his course work for his Masters and Doctorate, Dr. Alex became certified in Active
Release Therapy (ART), Functional Integrated Acupuncture, RockTape and Applied Kinesiology. These
certifications give him greater insight and more options for providing his clients individualized care to help manage pain and reach maximal potential.
Dr. Alex views all of his patients as athletes and focuses on manual therapy treatment to help his
patients manage pain and return to their sport of choice, whether it be competing on the ice for a
Stanley Cup or playing with their grandchildren. He creates individualized treatment plans
treating from a functional and biomechanical perspective and highly believes in patient
education. By combining multiple techniques, he successfully adopts an individualistic approach
for every one of his patients. He is fully equipped and able to utilize an individualized approach
to managing pain and optimizing performance.
